Objective
- The scheme to provide financial assistance to Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribe farmers towards electricity connection charges to TANGEDCO for getting Fast Track Power Supply was introduced in the year 2008-2009.
- The amount of assistance provided under this scheme i.e Rs.75,000/- has been enhanced from the year 2021-2022 as below:-

- The outstanding Partial Deposit amount of Rs.5.35 crore payable in respect of 827 beneficiaries has been deposited to TANGEDCO and the connections were given in the financial year 2021-2022.
- Further, steps are being taken to provide free electricity connection by paying 90% deposit on behalf of 1,000 Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribe farmers.
- A total of Rs.28.65 crore has been spent for the benefit of 1,827 farmers under this scheme.
