Hon'ble Minister during the 2022-2023 budget session has made the following announcements towards the construction activities for total value of ₹90.08 Crore.
- 10 new hostel buildings will be constructed ₹45.45 Cr
- Construction of compound wall to 83 Adi Dravidar Welfare Girls hostel buildings ₹10.58 Cr
- Dismantling & construction of 5 new hostel buildings ₹28.35 Cr
- Providing toilet block facilities to 40 Adi Dravidar welfare schools and 43 Adi Dravidar hostels ₹5.70 Cr
Construction Activities & Funding Schemes
Construction of schools and hostels run by this department, and community halls for the welfare of Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes, is undertaken by the construction wing of TAHDCO — currently 602 works valued at ₹401.00 Crore across various schemes.
GOI Assistance
- 13 hostel buildings under the Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatrawas Yojana (BJRCY) across 11 districts — ₹21.80 Cr
- School buildings for 5 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (Kumili–Chengalpattu, Kizhur–Vellore, Puliyampatti–Thiruppur, Senkarai–Namakkal, M.Palada–Nilgiris) under Article 275(1) — ₹60.00 Cr

Primary School Design
A modern single-storey primary school layout designed for 300+ students. The design prioritizes natural ventilation, wide corridors, and inclusive access. Separate wings for classrooms, labs, and administrative offices ensure structured and effective learning environments.
Science & Computer Lab
A purpose-built laboratory block housing science and computer labs with dedicated storage, safety provisions, and modern workstation layouts. Designed for hands-on learning with proper ventilation and electrical safety in compliance with state standards.
